Because of you we won’t get the family heir (varis). You are the reason no one's gonna call me dadi. You are the reason for all our troubles and we don’t even want to remember the day we chose you as our daughter in law.
Many of you dealing with infertility might have heard these lines frequently. First you need to know that it's not your fault and that you are the only one dealing with this. As per the latest 2022 study of google in India about 15% of couples deal with this and in many cases the problem is with the man and the suffering is caused by the woman.
So stop being weak and let's work together not to shut their mouths but to bring someone as precious as you to this world.
As, to grow a plant from a seed we require a healthy seed, good quality soil, proper environment etc, similarly to expect a good healthy baby both husband and wife should be healthy (during conception).
In our surroundings when a couple is facing difficulty in having a child the woman is an easy target to blame upon. But no, infertility is not a woman’s forte, it's not by choice. There are medically proven reasons behind this and just like other diseases this is also a curable one. A woman is considered to be medically infertile if she has been having sex, without the use of any form of contraceptive, for 12 months and has been unable to become pregnant.
There are 2 types of infertility: Primary infertility is a term used to describe couples who have been trying to get pregnant and so are having sex without using any contraceptive.For at least 365 days in the past but still failed. Secondary infertility refers to couples who were pregnant at some point of time and had their 1st baby, but now are unable to have another baby.
1.Ovulation : A woman must release an egg from one of her ovaries.
2.Fertilization: A male sperm must unite with the egg.
3.Implantation :The fertilized egg must get attached to the inside of the uterus.
There are multiple causes of female infertility, some of which includes:
ovulation disorders are defined as disturbances in the production of an egg (also known as an oocyte or ovum) during a woman’s menstrual cycle.
Hypothalamic dysfunction does have an impact on female fertility. Without the making of GnRH which releases ovaries to make estrogen, reduced levels of FSH, LH, and estrogen can diminish the quality of the eggs that the female produces or make the eggs stop releasing altogether.
is one of the most found, but curable, causes of infertility in young women. In women facing PCOS issues, the hormonal imbalance hinders the growth and discharge of eggs from the ovaries (ovulation). If you don't ovulate, you won’t be able to get pregnant even after you try hard for it.
Primary ovarian insufficiency is the situation when your ovaries don't produce typical amounts of the hormone estrogen or release eggs regularly. It's a condition when the ovaries cease to function as they should before age 40.
Here there is absence or disruption of normal ovulation with each menstrual cycle.
In about 20 percent of couples facing the infertility issue, ovulation abnormality or impairment is the culprit.
delicate fallopian tubes carry fertilized eggs from your ovaries to the uterus.
Damage to them, caused by pelvic inflammation (from STDs or Appendicitis) is the cause for around 25 percent of female infertility cases.
There are more such bodily damages to the reproductive organs that causes female infertility which includes damage and abnormalities to the cervix and uterus, for example fibroids.
Imbalance of progesterone can prevent the woman's body from being able to maintain pregnancy. Disorders, including polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and anovulation, can play a role in the hormone imbalance in women.
Some women having infertility issue may be conceiving, but might be frequently losing the conception. Miscarriage can be caused by -
* Thyroid problems,
* defective egg or sperm,
* hormone imbalance,
* malnutrition,
* drugs,
* trauma and
* deficiencies to the immune system.
Low nutrition level is amongst leading causes of infertility in women as well as men. Some nutrients have been found to particularly manipulate the health of the reproductive system.
Emotions affect your body and your health and your fertility as well. When it comes to understanding and treating female infertility, the mind-body connection is becoming an important point of focus.
Some other causes of female infertility are:
* Cervical narrowing or blockage
* Fallopian Tube Block (Tubal Block).
* Uterine Fibroids
* Infection
* Positive TORCH test.
* Endometriosis
Planning a baby is like sowing a seed…
We have dedicated our time to ensuring that there is a wealth of accessible and accurate information available to couples with fertility issues and we provide our best treatment for the same..
First of all we perform prakriti parikshan on the patient and then provide following treatment:
Virechana is the radical purification that eliminates waste toxins and products, and removes them from the body. As those toxins are the primary cause of disease, this method is the most direct and first one to be performed. Along with purification Virechana also cleanses all the body tissues. After which toxins are completely eradicated from the body. Before starting treatment consent of the patient is taken along with proper advice and counseling.
We perform Uttar Basti on the 6th-7th day of the Menstrual cycle. It helps in detoxification of the reproductive tract like uterus & fallopian tube. Uttar Basti brings back the woman’s menstrual cycle in sync. In Uttar Basti ayurvedic medicine is inculcated in the Uterus in females per vagina. Medicated oil or herbal medicines in liquid form, is inculcated with the help of a rubber catheter inside of the uterine cavity under aseptic conditions.
It refers to the instigation of medicated oils, herbal decoctions, and sometimes milk or other liquids through the vagina in the infertile women. Basti is one of the most successful treatments for vata dosha or vata disorders. The purpose of Basti is to clean or heal. Basti is beneficial to the women having -
* repeated abortion,
* short lived and weak children,
* who are delicate
* and indulge daily in coitus.
Infertility does not affect only the physical health of a woman but mental health too..Shirodhara is a traditional Ayurvedic treatment. Shirodhara has its origin from the word 'Shiro' which means head and 'dhara' which means flow. Shirodhara is traditionally used -
* to calm the nerves,
* harmonize vata constitutions,
* restore the nerves,
* release stored emotions &
* purify the mind.
In this treatment, boiled herbal oil continuously and steadily flowed on the forehead or more particularly, on the 'third eye'.
As female infertility is due to imbalance in kapha and vata doshas, so for its removal vaman plays the main role. Vamana Karma performed on female infertility is very effective and improves the chances of conception to a huge percentage, it also helps in reducing weight, increasing metabolic rate, increases the skin glow and balances out hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian (HPO) axis, in result it stimulates our ovaries to release ovum and regulate the menses. It also improves the irregular hormonal imbalance occurred in the patient due to infertility.
In most of the cases females dealing with female infertility have symptoms of acidity and other gastric problems which is the result of excessive pitta dosha. Virechana is performed to take out body impurities (excessive pitta) and toxins. This cleaning procedure is performed in the small intestine and in other parts of where pitta is present. Virechana is considered one of the most effective treatments in improving the irregular or heavy menstrual cycle, hormonal imbalances. Dr. Jyoti asserts that Infertility is a curable issue and can be removed without any side effects only with the help of Ayurveda. Some studies say that the success rate of curing infertility in women is more than 90 percent with Ayurvedic Treatment as compared to taking IVF Treatments which is recorded only at a 30 percent success rate.
