This type of person has a skin type which is seen to be dry and rough and if not moisturized on a regular basis it will have wrinkles. This skin type of person needs to moisturize their skin on a regular basis since they have fewer fat deposits.
You know the people who have acne and rosacea, they are the pitta skin type of people, the reason for this is they have oily skin.
The skin types which lead to pimples, whiteheads, and water retention are the kapha type and their skin is cold and oily. These skin type people are recommended to apply face masks on a regular basis and avoid the use of oily creams.

Psoriasis is a non-contagious common skin condition that causes rapid skin cell reproduction resulting in red, dry patches of thickened skin. The dry flakes and skin scales are thought to result from the rapid buildup of skin cells. Psoriasis commonly affects the skin of the elbows, knees, and scalp.
TWhen there is an imbalance of 3 doshas it might result in Psoriasis. These three doshas are vata, pitta and kapha. The dryness and skin scaling psoriasis is due to vata. And kapha is the reason behind the growth.

In Ayurvedic classical literature, leucoderma is known as Sveta Kushtha ‘white leprosy‘ and is also called shwitra. It has two subtypes - Kilas and Varuna depending on the skin color. An imbalance in the Vata and bhrajaka pitta (subtype of pitta that imparts color to skin) may cause skin diseases. Shwitra differs from other skin disorders by the normal functioning of all but the “skin tissue” (twak, rakta, mamsa, meda) resulting in discoloration of the skin (twak vaivarnyata), without discharge (aparisravi).
Ayurveda advocates following line of treatment
Shodana chikitsa – Strong detoxification Panchakarma procedures should be done. Vamana, Virechana, Rakta mokshana using leeches are recommended.
Shamana Chikitsa – done through oral medications and external applications.
Pathya (Diet) – strict diet restrictions, Lifestyle modifications, Yoga and meditation are advocated Skin must be taken care of in natural ways. Artificial skin glow with the help of artificial products having chemicals will last only for a few days and could result in never vanishing skin disease. We work on knowing your skin type and the diseases associated with it which is then cured with the help of herbs which lead to a balanced body.
